Poured on-tap at the brewpub in Raleigh, the beer is a bright, deep, copper coloring with a filmy, clingy, white head. Nose of heavy resin and grass, with a tangy grapefruit and lemon character, and a subtle caramel backbone. Flavors are resinous and citrus forward, piney and pepper spiced, with a solid caramel backbone, and a bitter build at the end. Smooth, light, and dry, with a tangy caramel and grapefruit aftertaste, kept sharp by a sticky, dank hops character. Dry, clean, slightly bitter linger in the finish. Great beer!

Appearance: orange in color. A two inch head lasts a while before falling to a surface foam.
Smell: caramel and some earthy tones come through to the nose.
Taste: nice malt profile here as caramel, ripe fruit sweetness, and a nice earthy bitterness create a decent beer that is not necessarily a a strong ale, but more of a pale ale.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Lightly crisp throughout. Aftertaste is short lived. Mildly refreshing.
Overall: another easy to drink beer here at Natty Greene's. The name is a bit misleading as this is a slightly hearty pale ale compared to the house pale ale.

A new offering at Natty's.Poured into a standard pint glass a clear copper color with a a well defined 1/2 finger white head.Citric hops mainly in the nose with a shot of caramel malt, not overly complex and on the lighter sides.A big blast of citric hops hit at the onset of the palate and linger thru the finish,a biscuity lightly sweet malt base holds up nicely to the hops providing a good backbone. Its not "strong" but its strong in hops, one of the better offerings from Natty's in quite a while.
