A Battleground Brewer's Guild recipe from what I was told.Poured ink black into a standard pint glass with a deep mocha colored head atop that lasted for quite awhile.Aromas of Dark coffee roast and unsweetened chocolate with underlying molasses lending light sweetness.A little thinner than expected but it doesnt really takes away from the flavors of the beer.A little raw on the palate with big roasty notes and some earthy tones, unsweetned chocolate and brown-sugar-like sweetness round out the flavor profile.A nice export stout,I dont get over to the brewpub often its nice to see them add new stuff.
