Almost all Mexican beers we know today started from classic German styles made by German brewers who moved there at the turn of the 20th century. One of the original versions they created was the amber stye lager we all love. This is a version of a Vienna Lager from Germany. Our version uses authentic german malts from Bamberg and Mexican Lager Yeast. The nutty and toasty vienna malt, noble hops, and classic lager flavors carry this beer. Great for summertime drinking. Serve with a lime if you so please. Chips and salsa not included

On tap at the brewpub into pint glass. Pours crystal clear deep ruby red/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention. Nice spotty soapy lacing, and some streaming carbonation on the glass. Aromas of caramel, brown bread/crust, toast, light roast, herbal, grass. Taste follows with caramel, brown sugar, toast, brown bread crust, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, herbal, floral, grass; light roast, dark fruit, yeast earthiness. Medium pine, woody, herbal, spicy bitter finish. Medium carb and body; balanced bready grainy malt and sticky resinous hop mouthfeel. Fairly crisp with resin dryness and minimal hop astringency. Very clean lager flavors with minimal fruity/yeasty notes. Zero warming 4.8%. A little too bitter but the flavors are spot on in vienna/Munich malt complexity.
