draft at the Raleigh location awhile back, review entered from notes
a: served in a standard shaker pint glass, the stout is black in color with some brown showing around the edges, served with a small head and stays that way
s: surprisingly stunning cold-brewed coffee nose - medium roast, vibrant and clean, and borderline fruity - with a solid malty stout to back it up, aromatic roasted malts hint at chocolate and coffee while providing a great accompaniment to the star of the show, mildly hopped
m: carbonation around moderate with a smooth, medium-full body
t: a little more balance across the ingredient spectrum on the palate after the coffee-forward nose - smooth roasted barley, dark chocolates, and of course fresh, clean coffee bean blend together very well, the coffee pulling through a little more after the maltiness of the sip subsides, mildly hopped with a coffee-roast finish
o: honestly didn't expect this beer to be as good as it was, the coffee presence on the nose is awesome and pretty nice on the palate as well, with a solid stout to support everything
