Pours a copper brown with a white lacing.
Smells of caramel and molasses. Mild spice.
Brown sugar and oats with some spiced notes, malty and very slightly bitter.
Medium body with a sting of carbonation.
A pretty enjoyable scotch, would have it again. I've had several scotch ales I like better than this, though.

North Country : McCleod's Ewe
On Cask
Pours light brown with a huge creamy head and lacework down the pint. Aroma is malty, earthy, mossy and peaty. In the taste, malt focused with nutty, caramel notes and a very smooth finish. Lots of malt flavor, caramel, bread, delicate in the hop department, just a touch of earthy bitterness. Creamy, smooth silky body. Overall, a nice cask beer, comes through mellow and appetizing.

Pours a hazy amber to orange-ish color with an off white head. In the aroma, peet and mellow roast In the taste, small peet, nutty, oaky and a small caramel. A smooth and medium to lighter bodied mouthfeel, with a dry caramel and woody aftertaste. Big wood presence and mellow caramel, dig it.

Pours a dark copper with a small head but some visible carbonation. Smell is pleasant bready malt. Taste is good chewy malt, lightly toasted. Really nicely balanced with a mild bitterness. Somewhat light bodied. Well carbonated. Very easy to drink in quantity. Sessionable. Great choice for a growler to take home. Overall a very solid beer.

One of two Scottish style ales on tap this being the "smaller" one,came to the table in a standard pint glass a medium to deep amber with some brownish hue a thin almost non exisistent head atop.To be expected aromas are malt tilted mainly some brown sugar and molasses sweetness with some doughy-like aromas tucked beneath the sweeter compnents,flavors are not overly sweet there is that brown sugar with a little caramel but the doughy quality keeps it in check and makes it very drinkable.A lighter Scottish ale and very quaffable more of a sociable pint.

A- nice body that was red in color with white head.
S- yeast and malt
T- yeast sweet malt. good brew.
M- medium weight body and low carbonation. Below average smoothness.
D- this was an overall good brew. Not my favorite of what I had but it was pretty good.

Part of my 6 for $6 5oz sampler, and while none were bad, this one was hands done the best of the 6 I chose.
A lovely orange hues rusty cola in color, the nose was soft and comforting with strong yeast & bread aromas. Head was slightly cream colored with light lacing.
The taste was rich, nice and yeasty with a full body that used mild hops expertly to play off the malt and bread overtones. A slight caramel undercurrent provided offset the mild hopped throat that made you want another sip. This beer was an experience from start to finish, very enjoyable.
In my short experience with craftbrews, simply one of the best I have had thus far. Can't wait to get a growler of this!
