L: Hazy straw yellow. Lots of carbonation forming small fine bubbles, dissolving into a thin layer of glossy lacing
S: Smells like a wheat ale should, reminds me of Moosbacher or Ayinger Weisse. The usual clove aroma is enhanced by real banana. It smells creamy too, like banana pie filling, likely from lactose.
T: It's not apparently sour on the nose, but it is on the palate. It's strong at first but palate fatigue regulates it to a more moderate format after a couple of sips. It's easy to imagine that you're drinking a banana soufflé, or, you know, custard.
F: It's sour and acidic but instead of smacking, the banana lets you down so gently. North Countrys Psychedelic Dream (honey wheat) is great on the finish too, I'm going to start calling these guys the Wheat Wizards.
O: At first banana seemed to be an unusual choice for a sour, but now that I've had it, it seems to be the most intuitive choice. Hefeweizen/Berlinner Weiss yeast has a banana flavor about it naturally and banana fruit adds to that without introducing excessive adjunct ingredients or processing. I really enjoyed this brew from start to finish, and can't wait to mix a half-and-half of Banana's Foster and Peanut Butter Hefeweizen.

Such a great banana aroma from the start and then followed right into the mouth! Quite the sour, Dave didn't enjoy as much as I did, and I probably because of the great banana flavor. Enjoyed a sample at Bacon, Bourbon, and Beer 1/2020, date day!
