An old favorite with an updated recipe. This unfiltered pale ale was brewed and dry hopped with Centennial, Simcoe, and Citra. After fermentation we conditined the beer on more than 400 pounds of Tangerine, Pink Guava, and Mango puree.

Tropical Pale Ale (2021) from North Country. Picked up at Franklin Beer, Franklin, Pa. $ 4.00 (Including tax)/16 oz can ($ 0.25oz) on 07/10/21. In reefer at store, stored at 37 degrees at home. Reviewed 16/06/22. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Stamped on bottom of can “CANNED 05/24/21”. Served at 51.2 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King Snifter. Final temperature 54.6 degrees.
Appearance – 3.25
First pour – Straw (SRM 3), hazy.
Body – Pale gold (SRM 4), opaque. When rear-lite, translucent. Lots of precipitate (Unfiltered).
Head – Large (Maximum 6.7 cm, aggressive center pour), ghost white, low-density froth, short retention, diminishing to a 0.3 to 0.5 cm crown of large bubbles and a thin partial cap.
Lacing – None.
Aroma – 4 – Tangerine and guava, generally very tropical and refreshing. No malt, no yeast.
Flavor – 4 – Follows the nose – refreshing and tropical citrusy, with a touch of dankness. No ethanol (4.8 % ABV as marked on label) aroma or taste. No gastric warming. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. Ends well-balanced between bitter and semi-sweet.
Palate – 4.5 – Full, creamy, soft but lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 4 Surprisingly good, definitely helped by the lively carbonation. Could easily drink several of these.

Pale ale with Tangerine mango and pink guava puree. Mild smell of sweet fruit and malt. Taste is not very happy surprised with all the additions but comes off sweet and fruity with no distinguishable fruit flavor. Body is light and crisp.
Overall canned 5/24/21 so 8 months old not bad still very drinkable!
