Pours a hazy amber color with a small off white head. In the aroma, fruity iced tea. In the taste, quite fruity and a small dry malt. A smooth and medium bodied mouthfeel, with a dry earthiness and hint of fruit in the aftertaste. I respect the style, but I miss the hops.

North Country's Heather Ale has a clear, orange body and a finger of off-white head. Retention and lacing are both OK.
The aroma is lightly fruity, with toasted malts and herbal notes.
The taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Lightly sweet, lightly toasted, pale malts lead off and are followed by some light, generically fruity flavors. The heather comes in toward the finish, adding pleasant herbal and flowery notes.
Light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation.
I always enjoy a good Heather Ale, and this one is pretty well-done. The flavor is light and refreshing.
