From the tap, said it was a new beer from a new brewer. Style is a guess.
Deep slightly hazy amber color pour with an off-white head.
Rich nose, brown sugar and sweet malts with some slight dark fruit sweetness, like figs.
The taste follows, rich malts like caramel and some dark fruit sweetness, followed by a mild floral hop bitterness.
Full body with a tingle of carbonation.
Pretty good, enjoyable sipper. Heavy and rich. Would have again, although I wish it had a little more uniqueness to it. It's similar to other heavy Belgian and BW ales I've had and doesn't set itself apart from those. But still worth having.
