North Country Brewing
Weizenbock
Look: Pours a hazy light brown color. A fingers worth of foam gives way to some patchy lacework.
Smell: Banana, clove, muscavado sugar, yeast and sweet bread.
Taste: Well rounded flavor of banana, clove, fresh noble hops, mild citrus, grass and herb. Banana bread, sweet honey, clove and a bit of fresh hops. Just a pinch of alcohol, and very drinkable overall.
Feel: Medium bodied, well carbonated, crisp, and lingering clove spice.
Overall: A tasty, well made weizenbock with typical German influence. Big time banana and clove notes, with some alcohol to pack a punch. Certainly a very strong representation of the style.
