Undoubtedly the most unusual O'fest that I've ever tried. Tasted at FoBAB, so they had to complicate things a bit. It's like a double Octoberfest or a high-gravity Octoberfest. Go figure. Described as and Octoberfest aged in a Bourbon barrel. Being from Kentucky, I had to try it at least once. Surprisingly, the bourbon and oak did not interfere with the delicacy of the O'fest. It kept the bready, subtle fruitiness, and cleanness of the base beer, but added a bit of caramel, nuttiness, and an alcoholic punch. The sugars were much higher than expected, but the light hopping was adequate to offset such sweetness. Would like to try again.
