Abbey beer produced with the commune of Baume les Messieurs, home to a former 9th-century Benedictine abbey. The richness of its malting and the selection of its yeast strains place it in the purest tradition.

Copenhagen 16/11 2019. 75 cl bottle with as cork stopper from Køge Vinhandel. As Abbaye de Baume les Messieurs Blonde. Drawing of some Monk doing Hand signs on the label.
Pours slightly unclear amber with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, patchy, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium-intense, malty sweet with a metallic feel. Sweet pale malts, sugar, honey, chemical odor of glue. Light harsh bitter notes.
Medium carbonation. Medium thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor has a strong sweetness. Followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with a harsh metallic, bitter tang. Lingers for a while.
Oily, too sweet and not especially pleasant.
