Copenhagen 12/2 2022. 33 cl bottle from Høkeren, Ravnsborggade, Kbh. N. Green and red Christmas label with the female backside Refsvindinge also uses on Mors Stout.
Pours opaque, dark brown with small off-white head. Bubbly. Settles as a single patch of foam floating in the middle of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with sugar sweet, malty odor mingling with licorice and butter. Dark, roasted malts. Salty licorice and hints of anise. Lactose and brown sugar.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a strong sweetness and almost no bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for a bit. Finish is sugary.
A tad too sweet for my taste buds. But then again: It's Christmas.
