Copenhagen 18/9 2021. 33 cl bottle from Kvickly, Vestergade, Svendborg. Stereotype of a rowdy sailor smoking a pipe on the label.
Pours clear dark amber with a red hue. Small white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as 0,2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with metallic alcohol. Caramel and toffee. A whiff of cooked vegetables. Tinfoil.
Medium carbonation. Slightly thick, oily and a bit greasy texture. Lightly tingling.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed and balanced by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweetish undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Surprisingly bitter and intense enough to hide most of the alcohol.

Dark ruby red. Very clean. A quite beautiful beige head, beautiful hat.
Red fruit, with a strong maltiness.
The taste starts fruity, sweetish, but not too much.
Belgian style. Again red fruit, on a good malty base.
Not too bad, with a sweetish note in the back.
Average body. Fruity aftertaste.
