Copenhagen 12/4 2017. 33 cl bottle bought at the Refsvindinge Brewery. What looks like adolescent devils dancing in front of roaring flames on the label.
Pours clear dark reddish brown with small white head. Settles as patchy layer of foam barely covering the surface of the glass.
Aroma is slightly smoky, black pepper and butter. Sharp sourness looming in the background.
Medium strong carbonation and watery palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by medium bitterness. Aftertaste is smoky, burning with a shitload of pepper and what feels like chili.
They should get some points for going all in on the pepper and chili concept - but they are overdoing it. So it is interesting - but not very enjoyable.
