Copenhagen 17/9 2017. 33 cl bottle purchased at Refsvindinge Brewery. A paraphrase on "Mors Stout" (Mothers Stout) with an even more sagging bum on the label.
Pours very dark brown with a red hue and a very small off-white head. Disappears almost completely with a lonely patch of foam drifting around.
Aroma is on the sweet side. Lightly roasted malts, sweet caramel, butter and sugar.
Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate.
Flavor is a bit thin for a stout. Medium sweet and only very light bitterness - on the verge of being non-existent. A bit disappointing.
I like their Mother's Stout, so I expected Granny's Stout to be even more heavy and dark. That is not the case.
