Copenhagen 12/11 2017. 33 cl bottle purchased at the Brewery. Grandfathers bum on the label like the rest of the "Family of Stouts" from Refsvindinge.
Pours dark brown with a very small white head which disappears almost immediately. No lacing.
Aroma is sweet. Brown sugar, light roastiness, butter and leather.
Medium strong carbonation and surprisingly thin palate.
Flavor has a strong sweetness - but it is not cloying. Aftertaste is pretty sweet vanilla and a little woody.
If Grandfather no longer has any teeth it must be because of his preference for sweet stouts. Too sweet for my taste buds.
