Ale No 24 originates from the well-known Ale No 16, but is adapted to the Christmas table dishes. A top-fermented ale with a vinous taste with undertones of dark fruits such as plums and a hint of licorice.

Copenhagen 9/11 2015. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Red variation of Ale no. 16 label with some snow in order to get the Christmas feeling up and running.
Pours clear dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Disappears rather quickly. Settles as thin patch of foam floating in the middle of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of dark malts and fruits. Dark roasted malts, raisins and toffee. Hints of butter.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense. Sweetish - like most Danish Christmas beers. Light sourish notes. Aftertaste is rather short with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Lingers for a bit.
Finish is sweet toffee.
Decent - but they do not get points for originality.
