Copenhagen 21/12 2017. 33 cl bottle from Refsvindinge Brewery. Drawing of an aggressive cat on a background of starlit hills.
Pours opaque dark brown with off-white head. Settles as very thin layer of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is rather smoky with lighter notes of roasted malts. Sweet caramel and lactose.
Medium strong carbonation and surprisingly thin palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by light bitterness. Aftertaste is smoky ashtray and a little metallic.
More smoke beer than porter. An acquired taste.

330ml bottle. – Catalonia flag red/gold stripes circle the label & ingredients are also written in Catalan language- ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on jun´12. Pitch black in color heads by a brief, beige in color, creamy texture crown. Roasted malt, subtle cocoa & burnt bacon aromas. Smooth roasted maltiness, low bitterness, at first sip. Increasing Bamberg malt style in the middle lingers as underliying note into the finish. Ligth to medium body, low to moderate carbonation. Roasted finish shows slightly dry bitter/malty flavor. Nice session beer when you look for maltiness instead of bitterness. ABV is well masked so drinkability results quite easy. Worth to try it.
