Tasted on-tap 8/30/05 at Thoroughbred's brewpub.
Keller Bier / Zwickel Bier.
Light cloudy yellow color with a nice full white pillowy head, nice active carbonation, and sporadic lace. Big earthy hop aroma. Spicy earthy hop pilsner flavor. Medium bodied and creamy smooth with a dry hoppy finish.
Very nice - may be my favorite of the day so I took a growler home to review to make sure !! :-)

Growler purchased at the brewpub the previous day. Cloudy yellow with a quick forming tall egg shell white head. Good rings of lacing and head retention. Upon first smell you can tell this is going to be one hoppy ass Pilsner. Scents of fresh grassy hop, light lemon and some grain cereal like notes. Pretty hoppy taste upfront with earthy and grassy hops cutting through grain and light malty sweetness. A touch of lemon tops it off. This has quite a dry bitter bite on the finish as well, probably the most bitter I have had for the style. Very tasty stuff though with plenty of spicy hops but it maintains control of them well. Mouthfeel is very crisp, clean and quite dry. Refreshing and very drinkable stuff that worked great on this hot day. Quite an aggressive tasting brew that I will be going back for more of.
