Served a clear orange color. On the dark side for an IPA. Nice head with medium to large white bubbles. Aroma is citrus, orange and lemons.
More orange and lemons in the flavor. Sweet caramel malts are well hidden in the background but contribute to the orange flavor. Balance of sweet and bitter in the flavor and nice bitter finish. Description claims a medium body, but I found this one a bit thin.
A very nice American IPA. Looks like it has changed recipe from English to American since last year. Had this 4/13/06.

Tasted on-tap 8/30/05 at Thoroughbred's brewpub.
Clear golden color with a decent off-white head. A slightly larger burst of English hops than present in their Paddock Pale Ale but leans light for an IPA. Lightly bitter but balanced biscuity malt and hop flavors. Lacks the woody character of the cask-conditioned Paddock Pale Ale. Medium-light bodied and lightly smooth without being overly bitter.
A nice English-style IPA that is not overly hoppy as most newly crafted beers are ... reminds me of some of my London days many years ago.
