Appears a clear golden amber color with a nice sized tan head. Rings and scatterings of lace were left on the glass. Sweet caramel, a light toasty malt and some earthy grassy hops made up the aroma. Sweet caramel and toasty malts mix with a light hoppiness upfront. Some mild fruit notes come and go. Smooth and easy drinking stuff. Though it was tasty from the tap, on cask is where is belongs.

Tasted on-cask 8/30/05 at Thoroughbred's brewpub.
Hazy golden color with a nice solid white head from the cask pull. Burst of English hop aroma at first slowly fades to a toasty malt and light woody nose. Nicely balanced biscuity malt flavors and an oaky/woody character with a touch of hops to finish. Medium-full bodied and creamy smooth.
A nice English-style session ale that is not overly hoppy as most newly crafted beers are ... reminds me of some of my London days many years ago.
