Growler purchased the same day. Clear yellowish orange with big foamy white head. Some good chunky rings of lace were left as the head held up nicely. Sweet and doughy malt with a pretty big grassy hop aroma really coming out nicely. Flavor starts with sweet malty base with a bit of toasty biscuit to it. Plenty of earthy and grassy hops add a great bitter bite to it. Light fruit notes. Fairly balanced with the hops coming on aggressive a times and the malt keeping it in check. Sweet and spicy hop finish with a slight bitterness. Crisp and pretty clean with a solid feel to it. Very drinkable stuff here, one of the hoppiest bocks I have had but not to the point of being overdone. Overall a great summer beer that I could probably go through a few growlers of. A well done brew thats hopefully a sign of things to come from this new brewpub.
