Tasted on-tap 8/30/05 at Thoroughbred's brewpub.
Light tawny brown and a bit too clear for the style with a low beige head. Light weizen yeasty aroma with very light chocolate and very light roasted aroma and flavor. Certainly not a true yeasty Dunkel Weizen. Light bodied.
A decent easy drinking light American Dark Wheat.

Sampled from a growler filled the previous day. Thick looking dark brownish red color with a tall light tan fluffy head. Moderate lace and decent head retention. Aroma is strong, with plenty of banana, sweet malt and light spiciness. Notes of other fruits and caramel toasty malt were present. The flavor starts with a big banana and toasted sweet malt. Very banana breadish. Some caramel and clove as well. Pretty tasty stuff. Good sized body on this that carries it well. Very drinkable to boot. Another well done beer by ThoroughbredÂ’s.
