22 Oz bomber from BevMo in Santa Clara.
Pours a clear orange to dark amber colored ale with a good thick tan colored head that lasts a while.
Smell is very fresh spicy and citrus hops. There is a bit of sweet molasses and malt to the smell but this is really about the hops. Striking spicy hop scent with most orange, eucalyptus and grapefruit aromas.
Taste is slightly sweet and very hoppy from the first taste. Very strong hop flavor and bitterness. The spicy nature from the smell makes it to the taste. Lots of lemon and orange flavors along with a little woodiness make most of the taste here. After a while the more sour elements in the hops come out and this gets a little bit harsh in the after taste. Alcohol is noticeable here from its warming effect and how quickly this beer hits you I would guess this is about 8% as it took less than 1/2 glass to start a noticeable buzz.
Mouthfeel is good and full.
Drinkability is not bad but it does suffer from the little bit of harshness that this beer has. I am not a fan of this brewer but this was a good beer. If you see this I suggest you give it a try. This is in the wrong category; this is an American IPA.

This beer poured a deep amber and the head was off white, lacing was extensive. Slightly hoppy aroma mixed with malt, while not as aromatic as other beers of this type, still was good. taste profile seemed too heavily accented on the malt. These wet hop ales are familiar to me and I expected more. While I liked the taste, I had to mark it down if comparing to others in the style range. Very malty with only slight glimpses of the hops coming through. An enjoyable but disappointing beeer at the same time.
