Big Rack bears the irony of having a trophy name assigned to an ale deliberately crafted to modest dimensions. The beer has a soft, graceful texture with casual sensibilities leaning towards a malt sweetness of near candy-like caramel flavor. The body is unfiltered chestnut, the bittering is restrained, the aroma is just slightly punky.
Though not an ambitious recipe, Big Rack Brown has an appealing easiness to it making it a good choice for that first after-work beer.
