An utterly undrinkable beer. And whats equally worrisome is that the folks behind the bar are oblivious to the notion that this woeful porter should have been quietly pulled from the taps and discarded sometime last week. I cant imagine pouring this for a full afternoon and not catching a whiff of the voluminous and putrid aroma. Its hard to miss and painful to endure.
There may have once been a worthy beer here, but by the time Elk Head filled my half-growler it was virulently infected. Put a drop under a microscope and youd see lots of funny bugs having a party. Theyre wearing little lampshades on their heads, dancing the mamba, and making crude jokes about your mother. A sickly molasses flavor attempts to poke through but its a lost cause. Dont touch it without latex.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
