I was told only that this beer was "bitter by design". Presumably, that means it's an English-style bitter or perhaps an ESB. But my tastebuds kept telling me it's an IPA for its sharp, citric bitterness and affirmed hop presence. The beer is yellow-gold with low suds, low carbonation, and casual drinkability. It's also a bit grassy. Starts with modest hop aroma but this soon disappears.
