Served on Tap 5/7/11 @ Silverado Brewing in St. Helena
A. Pitch black with a 1 finger head and light chase of bubbles.
S. Dark toast as well as very light chocolate.
T. Very tame, very safe, tastes like a light stout. Taste is almost identical to chocolate milk made with water instead of milk.
M. Very thin, water like consistency, no body and a major lack of carbonation.
Overall. I am disappoint son. Lack of flavor, body, smell and taste. I am not willing to give it another try, due to the fact this was poured AT the brewery and was "fresh". There moto at the brewery is something like "It takes really good beer to make great wine." I wonder where the napa valley gets there beer from?

12/30/2007 from sample glass at brewery. Aroma of dark caramel, chocolate, and cappucino. Brown with good clarity and ring of tan head around the glass. Flavor somewhat thin and watery with subtle chocolate and dark caramel notes in background. Slight bitterness. Medium-light body, moderately low carbonation. Fairly short finish.
