I had this at the annual Platte River Brewfest in Casper Wyoming.
A hazy bronze colour with a small head of foam but some good lacing.
The smell is slightly of wheat but the major nose is of caramel and fruity sweetness.
The taste has lots of caramel malt seetness, some notes of wheat, and an overall fruity taste but there is a light hop bitterness there as well that shows up mainly near the finish.
Medium bodied with fairly light carbonation.
Drinkability? The alcohol is there. No question about it so it does hold the brew back but overall, it's not a real chore to drink so...not bad for as strong as it is.
I think this is an American Dark Wheat Ale but if I find out different, I'll make the necessary change.
