A Belgian beer with spicy, floral and fruity yeast character. Notes of white pepper and fruit compliment the Mandarina Bavaria hops nicely in this dry finishing bevy.

A Beligum Blonde that is a bit hopped sounds interesting. I am using a tulip glass and serving the beer at a temperature of 42 degrees. The pour created a frothy, two-fingered white head. The slow dissipation left bits of lacing on the glass. The color is light gold with pale straw hues; the clarity is clear, and the charts are at SRM 2. The appearance of the beer is above average for this style.
Nosing the glass, I detect light malts, light phenols, white pepper, floral esters, pine resin, citrus, a hint of cloves, and light malty sweetness.
Sipping the beer, I taste a floral bouquet, tangerines, earthiness, light malts, herbal notes, cloves, white pepper, and a light malty sweetness.
The mouthfeel is astringent, finishing crisp and dry. The body is light and has medium carbonation.
Final Thought: This a delightful beer with a nice hop punch that does not overpower the malt bill. Single By Choice is the second beer I've tried from Altitude Chophouse, and it was delicious. I think I will have to visit this brewery sometime shortly.
