Dark brown with a hint of amber when held to the light. Pitch dark. Topped with 2 fingers of beige, ugly, frothy, scum like head. None of these are negative qualities to me, just saying it as it is.
Smells of coffee, tar, black liquorice, tobacco, milk chocolate, dark toasted malts.
Tastes of chocolate, and coffee with a solid sweetness, followed by the milk chocolate and toasted malts. The tobacco, liquorice and more savoury notes are only faint in the background.
Thick body, moderate carbonation.
Got in Chiang Mai where I am drinking it Oct 15th, 2017. Love that the taste, and the fact it has such a high ABV for this style. Liking the Moo Lah.
