This beer was served in a pint glass at the brewpub. It has a golden color with a small head and decent lace. It's somewhat cloudy(?), odd for a pilsner (or European lager for that matter). It has a strong earthy hop aroma with a malt background. It smells more 'ale-ish' than the usual delicate pils or lager scent. Strong hops dominate the flavor with the sweet malt very much subdued. It has a very strong taste overall. It's medium to full bodied with low carbonation.
This is a tasty beer, but it's more like a steam beer than a German or European pilsner. I like it, but it doesn't really fits the brewery's descriptive style at all.

Golden in color with an impressive head. The beer is cloudy, giving almost a a green appearance. Leaves awesome lace.
The aroma has a soft hop nose; inviting. Taste wise, this is an extraordinarily hoppy beer for the style. I believe that Cascade hops (rather than a noble hop) were used. Not Czech-like, but still tasty. Very high carbonation; long bitter aftertaste.
This is a unique approach to a "typical" pilsner--worth a try just to see the differences.
