This is a hand-pumped ale from Wynkoop, rotates with 3 other brews.
Poured at room temp. which was fairly cold given that it was -2 outside.
Copper body, clean, reflects light well. Soapy bubbles in the head. Nice endurance, stayed throughout.
Taste was a bit sweet, some roasted malt and a little biscuit. Light raisin hints. I had just come from a Johnny Walker sampling event, and this beer complimented the scotch-whisky just fine.
Easy drinking.

a: beautiful black with ruby highlights; 1/4" tan head with great retention and a sheet of lacey goodness

Pours a very dark ruby color with all right head and some great lacing. It had a nice malty scent, with some good peat overtones, but not as strong as I would have liked. Great taste, wondeful butterscotch flavors with great peat tones and a very malty kick. It was a little rough going down, with a bit of alcohol at the end, but it's still a great beer.

A- no head produced but hints of a tan crown after twirling, very dark brown w/ glances of mahogany
S- malty, molasses, grapeskin, caramelized sugars
T- roasted caramel malts, hints of spicy alcohol, burnt brown sugar, grapeskin, dates, raisins, chocolate
M- kind of flat but creamy and smooth, some tingling life at finish
D- nice, complex flavor, better than some scotch ales, but not nearly as good as the good ones, enjoyable, great aftertaste
