We made this special American Brown Ale for the 41st Great American Beer Festival using malt from all over the world. Using six different types of malted barley and even some flaked barley give this brew a deep, complex aroma of chocolate, toffee, caramel, and a little bit of toastiness. Featuring grains from Minnesota, Iowa, Germany, and Great Britain.

Pours out a clear, dark brown, opaque in the glass; thick, creamy light tan head, very long lasting; excellent rings of foam encircle the glass. Mildly sweet dark malt nose; a hint of roasted nuts. Pleasantly light dark malt sweetness on the tongue; suggestions of light caramel and brown sugar; medium-light sense of bitterness. Medium-heavy body; smooth on the palate.
This is a simple and straightforward American brown ale, nicely balanced with malt-forward character.
