Well, it's different but it worth a try. It's feels more like a night club as opposed to a brew pub. But they do brew beer. Very dark open space pub. Feels good. It really keeps your going through the night. Service was good, our server was really quick. Beer was really good, my stout was just well done, and my wife's hefeweisen was really good too. I also tried the pale ale and that was pretty good as well. Only one thing - they don't have a beer menu, that would be nice to have.
Food menu is different but interesting. It was a half price pizza night, so we got a cheese pizza and it was the best cheese pizza I've ever tried in my life (seriously). I want to come back for more food. It's really interesting place - check it out!

By reputation, Huo's has now exceeded Swan's down the street in beer offerings. I was not exceedingly impressed with the beer, the ginsing was interesting, though the bar is cute and offers a get-away vantage for people, close to the Seattle cruise/ferry. Nowhere as busy as Spinnaker's a 4-minute drive away, the place has potential. In a word, subdued punk bar, the music was moderate perhaps only due to it being mid-afternoon. WOrth a stop to support brewpubs if you are about, but only if you spend time at Spinnakers to enjoy the best.

StephenLouis and myself went here on part of our barley tour of Victoria and I must say that his place is a little wierd in what is trying to acheive. It is dark inside like a nightclub and from the posters on the walls it seems to have a 80's bring your mullet night on sundays called Just Giver. What is a place like this doing in beerfly you might ask, well Hugos makes the best Hefeweizen in BC. It is big and fruity and their Ginger Ginseng beer is also very cool. The fact that make their own beers is great but the atmosphere does not keep me in the mood to order food. Come for the beer and then go somewhere else for the next pint. Oh yeah my parents tipped my off to this place and they said that the food was okay but not great
