In a word, watery. Nothing else special or not special about it. A palatable bitter, meeting minimum standard. Had at the brewpub. Light brown colour with minimal head, nothing in aroma or taste, thin mouthfeel, minimal hops, some carbonation. Not really bitter.

Arrives on the bar in the standard Brewsters full pint glass, and appears a clear dark amber colour, with a bit of soapy white head. It smells of sweet caramel malt, and floral hops. The taste is sweet bready malt, a little of that Brewsters yeastiness, and floral, grassy hops, but not really all that bitter. The carbonation is moderate, the body fairly solid, and the finish off-dry, with more of that caramel malt lingering. Not too shabby, I could have a few more of these.

Pint on-tap at Brewster's South.

Clear, copper coloured. Off-white head is thin with sporadic lacing.

Aroma of floral and herbal hops with a touch of malt.

Moderately herbal/floral hoppy at the start with a nice malt compliment. Malt fades towards the finish which is mildly bitter but with nice herbal/floral hop flavour. Aftertaste is mildly hoppy.

Medium mouthfeel with mild carbonation. Some bite but relatively smooth.

A nice solid session beer. Nothing spectacular, but still pleasing and well rounded.

This is one of the flagship beers for Brewsters I think, odd that I've never tried it until now.

Served a clear light amber in hue, great head retention with a tight creamy white head. Aroma of light biscuity malt and herbal hops, but detergent on the glass interfered with a proper take on the actual profile. A fine English Bitter, light toasted biscuit malt blended with mild herbal hops, very subtle and refined. Nice balance. Creamy, velvety mouthfeel. Easily a session ale of choice, great stuff for what it is. I shall definitely be ordering more.

I really like this beer. Served in a curvy pint-glass, it showed a nice translucent copper color. The smell hinted at slight lemon and nice hops. The mouthfeel was good, but the taste... very nice. For someone who fancies himself an ale man, I really bought into this. Woodsy, lemon, and a bright hop finish that dissapated just before it got too bitter. A great beer to enjoy with a meal and a nice part of Brewster's menu.

It poured with a creamy tan clingy head over a coppery gold and very clear beer. A nice toasty nose with hints of aromatic hops. Big grainy malty flavour with a mild but balanced bitter bite. Medium light body and low carbonation. It's a good bitter, and a nice style of beer for a brewery that I believe has a tendency to be a little too conservative.
