8oz on tap at Beer Revolution 2/27/16 from notes
A clear golden copper, looks a little still with just a few bubbles visible, top filled glass has a thin film but still manages to leave a couple partial rings
S lots of canned peaches and apricots, some sweet orange and tangerine, has a little pine and caramel creating some kind of balance, smells great
T lots of rind and much more pine, still has lots of canned fruit but toned down compared to the nose
M more bubbles then I’d guess after looking at it, a little gritty with a nice bitter snap and a piney finish
O solid IPA from Brewsters, didn’t follow through on the world class nose but not lacking anywhere and very drinkable
I bought a 6 pack on my way out to take home with me and it was much different out of the bottle and a bit of a letdown to be honest. It was a completely different beer on tap, (so different I was wondering if the bartender poured me the wrong IPA)

I imagine honest Paul would be satisfied with this beer. It's an honest effort at IPA, though it's not overly memorable. Sampled on tap at the Century Park Brewster's. Overall, I could not find fault with this beer. That said, nothing about the malt profile or hop character makes me want to come back. I would agree with a prior reviewer who would stick with Curly Horse when it comes to Brewster's IPA.

355ml bottle poured into tulip. Six pack was given to my store as a Christmas gift from Brewster's.
Pours a clear honey amber with half a finger of white head that leaves drooping Arabic writing lace as it recedes.
Smells of sugary citrus and caramel malt with some green hoppiness.
Tastes of breakfast biscuit caramel malt and bitter green hops.
Feels all right. Medium bodied with the bubbles on the frisky side. Finishes dry.
Verdict: Not bad. Wish the taste followed the smell a lot more than it did.

16oz glass at Beer Revolution - 'tis the season, and all.
This beer appears a clear, bright medium bronzed amber colour, with a thin cap of wispy and bubbly bone-white head, which leaves some low-lying island cay lace around the glass as things quickly abate.
It smells of very candy-like muddled citrus and tropical fruit, semi-sweet grainy caramel malt, and further leafy, weedy, and herbal hop bitters. The taste is lightly toasted caramel malt, a bit of sugary biscuity essence, still hard to discern exotic fruity notes, a twinge of ethereal white pepper, and more weedy, grassy, and herbal hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly understated in its plain and yet utile frothiness, the body an adequate middleweight, and mostly smooth, just a hint of clumsy-ass hops working their, um, what's the opposite of magic? It finishes off-dry, the lingering neutered caramel malt still jousting with some niggling fruity and green hops.
Overall, a pleasant enough version of that moving target American IPA - the peppy hops doing well to counteract the base malt sweetness. Yeah, I know that sounds like any and every other generic review of said style that you've seen, so I'll qualify it by saying - stick with the Curly Horse, as it is a much more engaging iteration from this far-flung Prairie brewery.
