Good C (cascade?) hop in aroma.. English style pale, hoppy for a Calgary beer. Some lace otherwise not much to look at. Too carbonated but drinkable. Lots of carmel, malt. Definate attempt to keep it from being too bitter. Average beer in so-so lineup.

1 L brown plastic bottle poured in pint glass.
Pours out clear and pure golden in colour. White head is thin and disappears to nothing quickly.
Aroma is floral and sweet. Background tones of hops and fruit. Quite mild, but enticing.
The taste is very floral. Right through from the start to the swallow to the aftertaste, floral hops dominate. There is some subtle sweet fruit flavour at the swallow, but it doesn't hang around long. The floral taste quiets down in the aftertaste, but lingers on the palate.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and fizzy. Perhaps a little fizzier than necessary, but not a bad balance. Leaves a nice crisp feeling in the mouth.
All in all this is a pretty decent beer. There isn't alot of complexity as the floral hops aspect pushes itself to the forefront. I'm not a big floral fan, but atleast it's toned down in the aftertaste. Rating could be higher if there was any head at all after the pour. Also the drinkability suffers a little because I don't find the floral nature to be very drinkable.

Poured a clear pale coppery gold colour, with essentially no head. A mildly hoppy nose with some alcohol was present. I imagine a citrus aroma as well, but it's very mild. The flavour is quite sweet with some malty and grassy flavours, but not enough bitter. It feels soft and light, with very low carbonation. It's a fairly weak and insipid pale ale.
