Thanks Orrshow!
Generic "seasonal brew" label, with an S on the cap, and I didn't remember what it was. I thought it meant stout, but looking at the Beer through the bottle you could see that wasn't the case.
Appearance: Copper caramel with a pearly white head, certainly not a stout.
Smell: Didn't take long to realize this was a smoked Beer! Hickory wood smoke that is firm enough to be enjoyable without being too overpowering, like a more campfire type of smoke can be sometimes.
Taste: Tame carbonation, great smokey flavor that you can "inhale" with every sip, but joined with pleasing fruity esters that were bordeline banana. Nothing was out of place, everything in subtlety. Very well made, I could drink this all day, and paired wickedly well with Shelburn Farms smoked cheddar.

The seasonal right now at Brewsters. Served to me in a pint glass. The beer was copper coloured with a perfect two finger head that was very white. The head was slow to recede and left a little bit of lacing. Good looking.
Taking a good deep smell fills you up with smoke, a burnt wood smoke with a hint of toffee underneath. Sweet and smokey, straightforward but nice.
The start is faintly sweet, caramel or toffee with a hint of cherry. Once past the midpoint of the tongue the smoke moves in. Throw something a little bit floral in the mix. The smoke starts out strong, but after a few sips everything balances out a bit. Overall effect is a malty ale with a nice smokiness to it.
Like a good pale ale this beer has some body to it but is not heavy, and the carbonation is lively but not overdone. A tiny bit of oiliness on the tongue.
This is an easy drinker, some smoked beers seem to become too much, but here the smoke flavour settles in with the rest to make a pleasant mix.
