8oz glass at Beer Revolution YEG Oliver Square. I added this last month, right before the keg tapped, which seems to happen to me a lot.

This beer appears a clear, medium copper amber colour, with a thin cap of wispy and bubbly off-white head, which leaves some forked lightning pattern lace around the glass as things slowly dissipate.

It smells of bready and doughy caramel malt, muddled domestic citrus rind, a further tropical fruitiness, and more leafy, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is grainy and bready cereal malt, some orange and red grapefruit citrus peel, an indistinct exotic fruitiness, some damp minerality, and more understated earthy, leafy, and piney hoppiness.

The carbonation is adequate in its structurally supportive frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with nothing really causing any sort of ruckus at this point in the process. It finishes off-dry, the malt and mixed frooty essences pretty much running the lingering show.

Overall - this comes across as a refreshing and crushable version of the style, with lots of robust fruit flavours. Worth checking out, even if I have no idea who this Altivo fellow is. Probably the assistant brewer or something.
