Pours a honey amber to reddish orange with about two fingers of off-white foam. Apparently the name pertains to some knife-sharpening shop. A tad odd. Anyhow, aroma is sweet honey, fruity esters, mellow citrus, and cracker malt. This IPA tastes of biscuit malt, maybe a hint of caramel, sweet orange, peach/apricot, some tropical flavor (papaya?), and a piney juniper finish that is quite dry and bitter. Body moderately thick and sweet but overall the beer is not fiercely sweet like some double IPAs that use ample crystal and other heavy malts, nor is it an overpowering hop bomb. Comfortably middle of the road really. Some interesting flavors from the hops and manages a nice balance.

14oz pint at Edmonton Oliver. This appears to be a collaboration with a pop-up knife shop (the concept is new to me too) around these parts. Hence the Knifewear moniker, I would hazard to guess.
This beer appears a clear, medium golden amber hue, with two fingers of foamy, bubbly, pale beige head, which leaves an attractive array of Swiss cheese lace around the glass as it lazily abates.
It smells of moderately bitter grapefruit rind and pine tips, bready caramel malt, and a bit of further floral hoppiness. The taste is caramel cream, an underlying bready malt, some weirdly pithy, somewhat vegetal notes, neutered orange, tropical fruit, and leafy pine bitterness, and a very understated floral, kind of perfumed character.
The carbonation is on the down low, the body a little unsteady in its medium weight status, and generally unimpeded in its smoothness. It finishes off-dry, the caramel malt retaining some semblance of being, and the hops fading to black.
An OK IPA, well-flavoured, but not quite able to maintain the edgy bitterness that we hopheads have come to expect for this style. Good, but with a fair bit of room for improvement.

pint at Brewsters some time back -from notes
A clear copper with just a thin film that leaves lace where it existed, top filled glass
S big leafy dry hops and some citric rind and sweet caramel malt
T a little pine and tangerine I couldn't smell, slightly tropical and earthy, somehow there's balance with all the sweet malt
M creamy and bitter has some bite too it, slick and leaves your mouth coated, very long aftertaste of leafy rind
O I was digging this one for sure, some balance in what I assume was a heavily dry hopped hop bomb
And it comes with a free knife sharpening? I see the knife sharpening expired 5 months ago, I guess I'm a little behind on entering my notes
