Thanks to Kraus for grabbing this one. 12oz can (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a lightly cloudy dark copper color with well over an inch of white head that had very good retention and lacing.
The aroma was that of a "Classic" IPA; solid, slightly sweet malts topped with bright citrusy hops.
Same on the tongue, solid malts and big hops.
The body was on the full side of medium, a bit coarse across the tongue, and had a dry finish.
Drinkability was good, I'd have more of these if they were local to me.
Overall, a solid and enjoyable brew. worth a shot if you see it.

Look: Semi-cloudy dark tan in color
Aroma: Citrus rind, pine, orange marmalade, light notes of bread linger in the background
Taste: Orange and pine up front, followed by ruby red grapefruit notes. A slight residual sweetness works in and out of frame and good balanced malt support holds it all together nicely
Mouthfeel: Nice and smooth. Slightly oily but not too much, slightly sweet but not cloying at all with a clean and fairly dry finish
Overall: Solid, classic WCIPA here. My first IPA from Astoria and only my second beer I've ever had from them. I have to thank my dad for the hookup on a can of this too. I would recommend and definitely try again!

Pint at Tsunami Taproom in Salem Oregon.
$5.50
Clear gold color..small off white head. Doesn't last long.
Floral and pleasant fruitiness in the aromas.
Flavors similar to aromas. Fruity but not over the top.
Nice medium body and medium carbonated.
Good IPA.

I thought this beer was a little muted for an IPA, but I did not entirely dislike it. There was quite a bit of bitterness, but not so much hoppiness. Had a more earthy smell and lacked the piney/citrusy "twang" I like in my IPAs. Mouth feel was pretty light and dry. It was the only non-gluten free beer at the restaurant I was eating at, so I ended up having a few and I did find it serviceable when faced with the alternative.
