Pacific Rims pale ale has a rich color like shaded apricot that is radiant and clouded with a strange greenish tint. My pint was served cold with a tall billowy head of white froth that stood a half-inch above the rim of the glass.
This beer has a light vanilla aroma with a lageresque air and trails a confident web of white lace. The taste is an odd cherry-vanilla with a bittering finish that I found distracting.
Puget Island Pale is named for the island that was named for a lieutenant who served under the British explorer George Vancouver in the late 18th century. It is only offered as a summer seasonal.
