Willapa Wheat is a clear beer of slight carbonation that is served year round. Its color is a cross between copper and white oak. The pint I drank at the Wet Dog Café was served to me with a wedge of lemon and a smart head of short duration. Its infrequent strands of lace suggested that perhaps the beer was not especially fresh.
I didnt care for Pacific Rims pale wheat ale. I found it to be imbalanced and dominated by both a tart wheatiness and a bland yeasty flavor that strained the finish. The lemon wedge complimented these properties favorably, but could not trounce their shortcomings.
