On draught at Bailey's, Volksweissen is a murky, dull dark gold with a creamy eggshell head that leaves foamy lace.
Smell is classic barvarian esters, nice mix of banana and clove, although the banana has an over ripeness to it.
Taste is pretty good, not as estery as the nose but still the primary flavor. There's a soapiness to it, a bit grainy, particularly on the finish, that pretty much ruined this one for me.
Mouthfeel is on the creamy side, with a medium light body.
Drinkability is wasn't to high, I just felt it was a little off.

Very cloudy and golden. It seems to glow. Nice fluffy and long lasting head that leaves good lacing on the glass.
A nice citrusy bouquet.
Very Tasty. Mouth-puckering lemony tartness up front is well balanced by the malt sweetness in the middle. A tiny bit of hop bitterness in the finish leaves me both refreshed and thirsty for more.
Very dry and clean mouthfeel. A bit acerbic and very refreshing.
I could drink this all day. I may get a growler of this next time I get oysters.
John Dalgren, the Brewmaster at the Wet Dog, has only been legal drinking age for two years, but he makes some of the best beers that I've ever had at any brewpub. I think he'll go far, but I hope he never leaves the area.

An insanely clouded beer to the point of immediate opacity, Volksweissen has the creamy blonde mélange of an orange creamsickle. Its light, tart aroma is at first overpowered by the compulsory lemon wedge, but banana esters emerge after a bit of warming. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, and not shy but expresses its more traditional clove-yeast character only late in the game. The lemon wedge is a complimentary enhancement to the piercing tartness.
Served with a beautiful silken head with bold rocky outcroppings.
