SandLot Brewery at Coors Field

 

Had this brew during a visit to the brewery on the BA pub crawl. The beer is served in a clear glass flute and is chilly. Brew is a rich chocolate brown and no light passes through. A nice creamy tan head floats on the surface and fades to an edge layer quickly. Aroma is roasted malt and some coffee scents as well. Very malt dominated on the nose. First sip reveals average body and medium yet soft carbonation. Flavor is just as the nose advertises with coffee and roasted malt dominating but some chocolate sweetness appears briefly and rolls to a bitter coffee finish coating my tongue. Very smooth brew and easy to drink. I have to admit I was surprised at the quality of this brew. Definitely worth a shot if available upon your visit.
