On-tap at the game. Served in the typical plastic pint glass.

A: Cloudy straw, with a dense white cap. Head retention is outstanding and a good amount of lace is left behind.

S: Super heavy on the over ripe banana. It dominates the nose and really gets things going. The requisite clove is there, but very subdued.

T: More banana action. Dry biscuit flavors let you know the wheat is there. A very mild lemon bitterness adds complexity. Clove is there with a very light spiciness. Finishes dry and slightly acidic.

M: The light body is slightly grainy and has extremely soft carbonation. Perhaps too soft for this style.

D: This is one of the best Sandlot beers I've had to date. It's a very nicely done Hefe.

You know that you make beers appeal to the masses when you have to call it a "Banana-Clove" Heffeweizen. That's what the bartender at the Sandlot called this beer before he served it to me. That's like serving a "Piney-Citrus IPA".
It was probably the best beer I could get at the ballpark, so I wasn't too dissapointed. There is definately a banana-clove flavor, more banana than clove. It was pretty easy to drink though, especially on a hot day.

Poured a semi-hazed amber with 1 finger of eggshell white head. Beer cleared nicely, average head retention & lacing

S: Huge banana & clove profile, some other fruit (figs & dates) as this warms as well

T: Loads of cloves, bananas & a touch of honey malt up front. A little grainyness & bubblegum as this warms. Finishes fruity with juicy fruit gum as well.

MF:Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

Drank really easy, this one exceeded my expectations
