On-tap during a Rockies/Giants game. Served in the traditional plastic pint glass.
A: Bright gold, with excellent clarity and lots of fine carbonation. A small, yet very dense head has great staying power and sticks as a pillow the whole way down the glass. Leaves substantial lace.
S: Quite mild with a light fruitiness from apple, lemon and dare I say a touch of bubblegum. A dose of straw balances out the fruit.
T: Again, quite mild. Dry cracker flavors dominate. Bitterness is extremely mild and brings a touch of lemon. Finishes very clean.
M: Light with the extremely soft carbonation that every beer I've ever had here seems to possess.
D: The first thing I do when I go to a ballgame at Coors is head to Sandlot for their Brewmaster's Special. This Helles isn't the most exciting offering, but it's leagues above the Coors and Coors Light on-tap throughout the stadium. A nice beer overall.
