Brassy with a ruddy core. Dense, creamy, cream-white head. Light biscuity malt aroma backed by decent, if forgettable, resinous hops. Very citric hop presence up front. Tart and nearly too tart. Hmmm... Malt is biscuit dusted with fruit. Finish is tart cherry, bitter and dry. Off? Not terrible. Medium body with a dry feel.

Explodes out of bottle with a 5+ finger head that fades quickly leaving some lace. Cloudy (??) amber color. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Piney, cidery nose. Starts slightly sweet but a cidery, hoppy flavor is right there. Limited hoppy aftertaste, different from any pale I have had. 12 oz bottle from Friar Tuck's Peoria, Il.

This looks and tastes much fresher than the first one I had.
Appearance: Clear, tea brown color. Thin, fizzy head.
Smell: Gentle pine, with a smooth buttery sweetness. It's an odd mix of aromas. The sweetness is almost pastry-like.
Taste: Smooth, but generic, malt flavor. Leafy, subtly burnt dryness adds some character. The middle is dominated by sticky butterscotch character; it's like liquid Werther's candy. Between the dryness and the extreme sweetness of the malt, the flavor is all over the place.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied and gently carbonated. Smooth, but it's not quite as lively as it should be.
Verdict: The freshness of this sample makes a huge difference in the taste. This is a nice effort from a fairly new brewery, but it's not a well put-together brew. The sweetness overpowers everything else in the beer.

Average APA pour. Dark tea orange with a small white head that dies away like a fever or a daydream.
Smells like seltzer and hops. Decent, what's there is nice, but its too faint to be enjoyable. There's certainly not any complexity.
Tastes like sweet fruit, light spice, and simple hops. No real malt balance. Still, the fruit and hops are decent, if not at all complex.
This is about the most "3.0" a beer can be. Nothing wrong with it. Nothing really worth trying, though

12oz stubby brown bottle.
Clear amber color with a modest off white head..too oily to leave any lacing.
Quite the unique flavors..pale toffee malts mixed with citrus fruits..not so sure I dig the combination. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if the tastes weren't so artificial...tastes like orange syrup mixed with a cream liquour..not something that I'd likely want to revisit.

Had this on tap 5-28-05 at Summer Camp 2005 in Chillicothe. I was so glad to see something other than BMC at a concernt venue. Arrived with a slightly cloudy lemon yellow color and a nice two finger white head. Struck me as being quite light for an APA...but it still looked good in the glass. Aromas of light citric hops and a hint of sweet maltiness, overall it was fairly subdued and I was hoping for more.
First sip brought a mellow citrus hop flavor along with a pale malt backbone that exhibited only a hint of caramel sweetness. Both the hops and the malts seemed a bit muddled and understated, however the beer still had a nice mellow flavor and was quite refreshing in the hot sun.
Mouthfeel was fairly light and crisp with a good amount of carbonation. A refreshing brew that just needs some work before it will be a great APA. I was happy to be able to sample this local brew.

Sampled this beer on-tap at the brewery. Nothing really struck me about it, but it's a decent enough pale ale. I would describe it as a less-hoppy version of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, both in smell and in flavor. It went down very easy, but didn't do a lot to impress. It's a good enough option if it's there in front of you, but I wouldn't tell anyone to go searching for it.

(Served in an American pint glass)
This was the last 6-pack they had and all the bottles were filled below the neck which was a bit lower than the other beers of the same type.
A- With a proper slow pour this beer puts out a huge head that take up 75%of the glass but it dissipates very quickly. The head is a nice cream white head. The body is a lemony yellow that is a little murky with lots of carbonation.
S- very light bready aroma with a slight citrus hops hint.
T- Light grapefruity hop taste with an almost chemical taste. Astringent tart aftertaste but no maltyness at all. There is no finish to this beer. The hop astringency lingers in the back of the throat but no malt or alcohol finish.
M- Very fizzy mouthfeel with the high carbonation and a slight astringent pucker at the end.
D- This beer is all fizz and a light chemical hop taste. it has no depth of hop flavor nor does it have even a hint of malt or yeast character to accent the hops. I have the rest of a 6-pack to go so if this is an off beer I will edit my review to reflect that.
